I am a keen amateur photographer from the pretty seaside town of Amble in Northumberland where I live with my husband and daughter.

I have always had an interest in photography, having been inspired by my father who was a black and white film photographer who enjoyed developing his own films.

I started out using film, although I never ventured into the darkroom, before moving onto digital a few years ago.

My daughter often tells me that I am obsessed with photography; she's right, but I prefer to describe myself as "passionate".

A couple of years ago, I took the very scary step of moving into wedding photography and now it is something I want to do on a full time professional basis. I am still learning and enjoy the thrill and excitement of being a part of someone's big day.

I love all types of photography, from landscapes to macro and flowers to portraiture.
